Before becoming a marriage & family therapist, I spent 15+ years working behind the scenes of the film & TV industry as an IATSE Local 80 grip.
I know the pressure, unpredictability, inconsistency, and burnout culture that comes with entertainment careers, including what it’s like to start over. I built a second career in my late thirties, which allows me to connect deeply with clients navigating transitions, job losses, identity shifts, and the nagging question…
Now what?
I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University in Fullerton, CA. I’m trained in eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and a certified ADHD clinical services provider (ADHD-CCSP). I specialize in ADHD treatment for teens and adults, couples therapy, and working with members of the entertainment industry. I’m also in-network with Optum (MPI).
My style is warm, direct, and grounded in attachment theory. That means we’ll examine how the quality of your childhood relationship with the person(s) who raised you shaped how you relate to others and yourself. This will help you build insight into ineffective patterns while you create more fulfilling, authentic connections. In our sessions, you can expect a down-to-earth, supportive space where your unique identity, creativity, and personal goals are honored.
More About Me…
Like many Angelenos, I’m also a transplant. I’ve lived in Maryland, Minnesota and Michigan and have called LA my home since 2010. When I’m not in session, you’ll find me snuggling with my two cats, hiking, camping, going to the movies, cooking for my friends, and attending various events within the Burner community.
